I hold & own all 5 of our tickets & reservations in my MDE account. Should my young adults use my account or make their own so they may go off and order food, make genie + selections, etc. or will their tickets and park reservations get messed up?

    Hiya Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! Oh my goodness, Jennifer, can you believe that your Disney vacation is only a few weeks away? I know it may seem like time is going by slowly, but I promise you that these last two weeks are going to go by so quickly. And there is no better way to pass the time than planning your magical visit!

When it comes to the My Disney Experience service, I usually recommend that all adults have their own accounts. Indeed, as I learned at Disney's Animal Kingdom, "Harambe" means teamwork, and teamwork makes the dream work! What you can do in this case is have your young adults create their own My Disney Experience accounts with their personal emails. Then, go into your Family & Friends List and click on the profile that you manage. You should have the option to click on "Update" next to their name and then on "Share planning with [young adult's name]." At this point, you will have to enter the same email that is associated with their new account, and they will have to accept your invitation that will be sent to their email. This should transfer your plans to their new account, but if you have any issues with any of these steps, you can also contact a Cast Member via chat, email or phone and ask them to merge the old profile and the new account for you. Cast Members truly are real-life fairy godparents, and I always go to them whenever I have questions! I find the chat feature online is particularly convenient and quick, and they can make these changes on chat.

Once everyone in your party has their own My Disney Experience account, I highly suggest that everyone downloads the My Disney Experience mobile app. Through the app, everyone in your party will be able to make dining reservations, mobile food orders, Disney Genie+ selections and even Individual Lightning Lane selections. However, when it comes to issuing payments, the young adults in your party must be over 18 years old. Indeed, if they are still minors, they will still be able to make Disney Genie+ selections after it has been purchased for them, but they will not be able to purchase the service or Individual Lightning Lanes. Either way, Disney Genie+ and individual Lightning Lanes cannot be selected anywhere other than the My Disney Experience mobile app, so it is important that everyone in your party downloads it.

I hope this was helpful, Jennifer, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!

    Have a magical day,
