I have been on hold with Disney for over 3 hours. I need to upgrade my child's ticket to include park hopper and cannot do it through the app or website. Can someone please assist?

    Hi Mandy,

Oh dear, I’m so sorry for your long wait and can understand your frustration. Thanks for reaching out to us at planDisney, we’re here to help!

With your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation just around the river bend I know you want to have everything organized and ready to go for a seamless visit. You have several options for upgrading your child’s ticket to a Park Hopper, so let’s walk through these together.

First, you may do this within your My Disney Experience account and please follow these steps on a computer rather than the mobile app:

    • Navigate to My Disney Experience on the main Walt Disney World website
    • Select My Plans
    • On the My Plans page, scroll down to the section titled My Plans, Reservations, & Tickets
    • Under that section heading you will see Daily Itinerary and Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker on the left of the screen.
    • Click on Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker
    • Now you will see your family’s tickets. Under each ticket there is a Change Ticket link in blue – click that link for the child’s ticket you wish to upgrade and complete the process to modify the ticket to the desired Park Hopper.
    • You will only pay the difference in price for the new ticket, and this action will not affect any existing theme park reservations. Please note you do not need additional theme park reservations for the second park you wish to visit on any given day.

If this is unclear or continues to add stress, hakuna matata – no worries, Mandy! I suggest you take a breath, let it go, and know this ticket change can also be managed once you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

When you arrive on your first visit to a theme park, please take a moment to stop by Guest Relations. Each park has a ticket window at the entrance where you can speak with a friendly Cast Member in person. They will gladly help you quickly upgrade any tickets needing park hopping abilities there on the spot. Again, you will need to pay the difference in price from what has already been paid but there is no further impact to your carefully managed plans.

If you need support regarding any component of your vacation while on site, here are your best resources:

    • Click on the Chat with Us tile in your My Disney Experience app under the main menu (≡) for real-time support wherever you are
    • Look for the Guest Experience Team under the blue umbrellas throughout the theme parks - find their locations on a map by searching for “Guest Experience Team” in your My Disney Experience App
    • Visit Guest Relations in any theme park or at the entrance to any theme park – find their locations on a map by searching for “Guest Relations” in your My Disney Experience App
    • Ask any Cast Member for support or directions, at any time throughout your visit
I hope this helps ease your mind and gets you ready for a very special adventure together!

Wishing you a practically perfect vacation,
    Amy
