Heigh-Ho, Jose!
I’m so glad you found us here at planDisney! I love seeing questions from fellow Californians visiting The Happiest Place On Earth. Since you're already soaking up the magic at the resort, let's jump right into addressing your question!
If you're part of the
Magic Key program, like myself, you have until the clock strikes midnight (Pacific Standard Time), the night before your scheduled visit to cancel. According to the current
Magic Key No-Show Policy, if you forget to cancel in time, or if you make a same-day reservation and never check-in, your account is marked with one penalty. If you accrue three penalties within a 90-day period, you'll just need to take a brief 30-day break from making new theme park reservations.
However, if you are using a single-day ticket, or even the
Southern California Resident Ticket bundle, missing the cancellation window just means a 24-hour timeout on making a new reservation. My own family ran into this scenario last winter when my husband wasn't feeling his best on our planned day out. Thankfully, we were able to shift things around and reschedule our visit for Mother's Day, when we were all feeling our best and it was magic!
I hope this clears things up for you, Jose. I know last-minute changes can be a bit of a downer, but hey, that's why we're here at planDisney – to make navigating these details a bit easier for you. Feel free to
come on back whenever you have planning questions about your upcoming visits. I’m here to help and I love sharing
my favorite tips! You've got a friend in me,Danielle
