Hello there, Elrika!
It is a pleasure to welcome you to planDisney! We are thrilled to help you plan a magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
I love visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the summer! Although temperatures are very high in Central Florida during this time of the year, Guests can keep cool in many ways. Some of my favorite ways to escape the heat are booking lunch at table-service restaurants to take an air-conditioned midday break, returning to my Disney Resort hotel in the afternoon to spend some time at the pool, and visiting the water parks!
Last year my daughter and I attended
H2O Glow After Hours at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and we had a fantastic time! In my opinion, it was great to enjoy the water park with fewer Guests, reduced wait times, and without having to worry about sunburns, applying and reapplying sunscreen lotion, and the hot pavement under our feet. We also loved the snacks! There were stations throughout the park, and we enjoyed fountain beverages, popcorn, and the delicious Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars.
Towels are available for rent for a $2.00 per towel fee. I was staying at a Disney Resort hotel, and although towels are complimentary at the resort pool, I still had to pay rental fees at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Stop by Singapore Sal’s to rent towels and get other items you may need for your visit. Right next to Singapore Sal’s, you will find lockers available for rent and restrooms.
planDisney tips: To avoid crowded restrooms at the end of the event, I recommend gathering your belongings and changing before H2O Glow After Hours official hours are over. I also feel it is better to leave a little earlier if you plan to use a rideshare service to return to your hotel. With all Guests exiting the park at the same time, we had to wait a little longer than planned on our last visit.
I hope this information is helpful, Elrika! Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
See ya real soon,
Thiana
