August is the perfect time to catch a movie onboard a Disney Cruise, because you'll have access to the blockbuster films that were released during the summer. While I don't have an exact listing to reference, you can expect to see the following playing at some time in the Buena Vista Theatre during your sailing:
- The Devil Wears Prada 2
- The Mandalorian & Grogu
- Toy Story 5
- Moana (2026)
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Releases July 31, 2026)
It's also likely that you'll see Zootopia 2 and Hoppers on the movie lineup, as well as a few others to enjoy. Once you step onboard the ship, you'll be able to access the Daily Activity Schedule within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see all the showtimes throughout your sailing so you can plan accordingly.
If you see a movie or activity offering in the app that you don't want to miss, click the heart icon next to the listing. That way, if you have app notifications enabled, you can receive a reminder before the fun begins. I find this feature extremely helpful as it's so easy to lose track of time while having fun on a Disney Cruise.
