Hi Melody,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with another question about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. You’ll
be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in no time! Whilst back home, Guests will be celebrating
The Most Magical Party of All at Hong Kong Disneyland, you’ll be soaking up the fun of
Cool Kid Summer at Walt Disney World.
Let’s talk about the similarities between Hong Kong Disneyland and the four Disney theme parks at Walt Disney World to help you make the most of your time. You’ll find familiar attractions like “it’s a small world,” The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Frozen Ever After.
Space Mountain is similar to Hyperspace Mountain, though the track layout is different, so you’re in for a familiar yet brand-new thrill.
I won’t spoil the surprise of
Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but once you’ve ridden it, you’ll definitely see which attraction it helped inspire over at Hong Kong Disneyland.
In terms of entertainment, Festival of the Lion King is similar to the version found in Adventureland at your home park. And while Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom shares the emotion and magic of Momentous, it’s a unique show with its own perfect music and story. Fun fact, the ANTHEM that is Happily Ever After from this show actually originated at Hong Kong Disneyland for the park’s 10th anniversary and Mickey’s Wondrous Book!
I hope this answers your question, Melody, and helps you to plan the best vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other planning questions, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
