Family planning a trip

    Hi Years ago we used to get Disney Vacation Planning DVD's made by Disney before our trips. We are going with my mother in law this Summer. It would be great to show her something about the parks before we go. Do you know where I could find this?

    Hiya Nick! 

    Welcome to planDisney!  Oh boy, I remember those videos! I loved ordering them and watching them with family as we got so excited about our upcoming trip! I remember even ordering customized Park maps with our family name on them. They are now clearly not accurate but are like family heirlooms in my home. 

    Unfortunately, those amazing Planning DVDs are no longer being made. Everything has now gone digital and is online in some form or fashion. I tried to gather some resources to help dazzle your mother-in-law and this is what I found: 

    • Why would I not start with one of the best? planDisney has a ton of resources in our Video Library! We have easy-to-watch videos about Park experiences and some podcast interview-style videos where we go over certain fun hot topics. 
    • The Disney Parks YouTube page has so many different playlists and videos that will help showcase different areas in the Parks. I would pick the areas that you are going to explore on your vacation.
    • Since you are heading down during EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival I would keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog as they will start posting foodie guides and helpful ways to make the most out of your Park day. Right now there is a little tease and it looks like a lot of fun!
    Now, this may sound like a lot of work but when I planned a trip for my extended family to Walt Disney World Resort that had never been there before I created a slideshow presentation where I talked about each Park and what we are doing there. I even included a section about our Resort and all the amenities. I wanted to get them excited and begin imagining the fun that was coming their way. I suggest making it a special event where you make your presentation while eating freshly popped popcorn or another delicious Disney recipe! 

    I am sorry I don't have exactly what you are looking for but I hope this helps you begin your magical planning!
