Hiya Nicole, welcome back to planDisney!
I'm thrilled to hEAR you and your cast of characters are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your enthusiasm for planning a magical trip is contagious and makes me want to do the Hot Dog Dance! I've already told Mickey to keep an eye out for you at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom Park. He and Minnie are also greeting Guests at Adventurers Outpost in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Character dining experiences are an excellent way to sit back, relax, and let the characters come to you. I recently enjoyed breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, and friends at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. We had already finished eating but were waiting for a few more characters to stop by so our time in the "standby queue" was spent enjoying the amazing view and sipping on POG juice.
I'm pleased as Piglet to share there's a search filter on the Walt Disney World Resort website that allows you to see a list of restaurants that offer
character dining experiences. You typically have to view each restaurant's website to see what specific meals offer character dining, but you've got a friend in me so let's see if my magic wand, er, typing fingers can make that information a little easier to access. Character dining is currently offered at the following restaurants/meal times:
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (EPCOT): Dinner with the princesses
- Cape May Cafe (Disney's Beach Club Resort): Breakfast with Minnie and friends
- Chef Mickey's (Disney's Contemporary Resort): Breakfast and Dinner with Mickey and friends
- The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom Park): Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with Winnie the Pooh and pals
- Garden Grill Restaurant (EPCOT): Lunch and Dinner with Chip, Dale, and pals
- Hollywood and Vine (Disney's Hollywood Studios): Breakfast with Disney Junior stars; lunch and dinner with Minnie and pals dressed in seasonal attire
- 'Ohana (Disney's Polynesian Village Resort): Breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, and friends
- Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White (Disney's Wilderness Lodge): Dinner with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and <<gulp>> The Queen
- Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera: Breakfast with Mickey and friends
- Tusker House Restaurant (Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park): Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with Donald and friends
Kindly note that character dining offerings are subject to change at any time so I encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates. Advance reservations for dining can be made online up to 60 days in advance. Disney Resort hotel Guests can book for their entire stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before check-in, which is a significant advantage when trying to book popular character dining experiences.
Hope to see ya real soon, Nicole!
Plan magic; planDisney.
