Hiya moms! We are looking forward to attending MNSSHP for the first time. My girls are HUGE character fans, particularly those that you don't see very often. Does Disney publish a list of characters that will be at particular party dates?

    Hi Megan!

Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party ("MNSSHP") is one of the many reasons why the fall season is my favorite time to plan Walt Disney World vacations. I'm not into haunted houses and other Halloween events that are designed to scare me out of my skin. (Translation: I'm a huge wimp!) That being said, the MNSSHP is a fun and whimsical take on Halloween. (Translation: It's just my speed!)

Since your daughters love meeting and interacting with the characters, this will be an awesome experience for them. In prior years, I don't recall seeing a published a list of characters that were scheduled to appear at the MNSSHP. Don't worry though because there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and hangout with some of your favorite characters (many of them will be wearing their Halloween costumes!).

If you plan to visit the Magic Kingdom before the start of the MNSSHP, you'll have to exit the park and re-enter with your MNSSHP tickets. Upon entry, you'll get a special wristband, a trick-or-treating bag, and a special guide map. Not only are the MNSSHP guide maps great souvenirs (especially if you're a scrapbooker), but they also highlight all of the special events and character meet-and-greets that will be setup for the party.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Since you mentioned that your daughters enjoy seeing characters that don't hang out in the theme parks very often, make sure you get a good seat for Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade during the MNSSHP. In years past, there have been a handful of characters that showed up for this parade that you don't typically see roaming around. (Plus, it's an awesome parade overall.)

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
