Hiya! I’m booking multipass for my party of 4 soon. I have an AP but the other 3 have date-based tickets. We’re staying offsite and spending 4 days at the parks. Can I book for all 4 of us for the *whole* trip? Or will I have to book mine separately?

Hey Howdy Hey Amanda and welcome back to planDisney!

Well, it sounds like you have an exciting trip to the Walt Disney World Resort coming up really soon! I'm glad you are planning because Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options will make your day in the parks so much more enjoyable. While we all continue to get used to this process, you make a great point about making these selections with group members having different ticket types. Let's go over a few things and see what we can come up with!

Considering you all will be staying offsite, you are correct that your availability window will open 3 days before your first park day. The difference will be that Guests with date-based tickets will be able to purchase Lightning Lane options for the duration of their trip. Annual Passholders can purchase Lightning Lane options 3 days before each day they plan to visit. At this time, it looks like your booking window will be different for each day you visit.

    Your options are:
    1. Your friends purchase and book their Lightning Lanes for the full duration of their trip and you purchase and try to book for similar times when able. Remember that these times can be modified if needed!
    2. You can wait to purchase and book as a group each day you are eligible for each day in the parks.

Unfortunately planning trips to the parks with various ticket types does get a little clunky with pre-planning capabilities. I am sorry there is not a better solution. You still do have a few options that can work so you have the best chance of experiencing attractions together. I hope you have a Magical time and stop back and see us if you have any other questions!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
