Hi there, Jessica! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to answer your question today because, in my opinion, photographs make the best
Walt Disney World Resort souvenirs. Over the years, the talented
Disney PhotoPass photographers have captured so many special vacation memories for me, and I love reliving those magical moments every time I look through my photo albums.
Some of my favorite Disney PhotoPass pictures are
Magic Shots. These photographs are digitally enhanced with some sort of magical surprise. You might see a favorite character join you in your picture, or there may be an interesting lighting effect added to the photo. Sometimes Disney PhotoPass photographers have special props that Guests can use in their photos. Magic Shots are typically themed to the area of the theme park they are offered in or to events that are going on in the park at that time. The specific Magic Shots that are available and the locations where they are offered are always subject to change, so I recommend simply asking each Disney PhotoPass photographer you encounter if they have any Magic Shots available. Then when you view your photos in your
My Disney Experience mobile app, you can see what kinds of fun surprises show up in your pictures.
Some of my favorite Magic Shots are the ones where Tinker Bell appears in my photo. As I mentioned before, Magic Shot locations are always subject to change, but earlier this year, I took some photos with a Disney PhotoPass photographer stationed just inside the entrance of
EPCOT. I have a cute picture with
Spaceship Earth in the background and Tinker Bell in the palm of my hand. I've also had Tink join me in several Disney PhotoPass pictures taken in
Magic Kingdom Park on Main Street, U.S.A. and in front of Cinderella Castle.
In addition to the Tinker Bell Magic Shots, I also love the photos where Mickey balloons magically show up in a Guest's hand. These can be found in multiple locations throughout the four theme parks. If you're a Marvel fan, look for a Disney PhotoPass photographer in front of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Groot just might make an appearance in your pictures. At Magic Kingdom Park, head to the
Tangled restroom area as it gets dark for a special photo with one of Rapunzel's lanterns.
If you haven't done so already, be sure to purchase
Memory Maker for unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass pictures, including those Magic Shots. For a way to add even more pixie dust to your Disney PhotoPass experience, I would also suggest booking a
Capture Your Moment private photography session. I'm sure you're going to look back on your photos of this trip with your daughter and relive these treasured memories for years to come!
Have a magical day!
Samantha
