Hey there, Sally!
So wonderful of you stop by and visit with us!
There are a few options for getting to Blizzard Beach from the
Magic Kingdom.
If you'd like to enjoy the scenic route on
Disney's complimentary transportation, you can head to Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is a quick Monorail ride over or a lovely 15-minute walk on the path. From there, you can hop on one of Disney's buses that will drop you directly at the entrance of Disney's Blizzard Beach water park.
planDisney Pro Tip: If you find that the bus wait is getting a bit long (because sometimes the magic takes a little longer than posted), you can reserve an Uber or Lyft from
Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you and your family will be driving yourselves from the
Disney Cruise Line port at Port Canaveral, you can drive from Disney's Magic Kingdom to the water. It's about a 10-15 minute drive and it allows you to be able to be a little more in control of your timing to ensure that you arrive back to the port in time to board the ship. Just be aware that there is a parking fee at the Magic Kingdom that ranges from $30-55 for the day, but parking at Disney's Blizzard Beach is complimentary for all guests. Woot!
On the date of your visit,
Disney's Blizzard Beach is open from 10:00am-5:00pm, so if you can arrive at the Magic Kingdom between 9:00am-9:30am, you should be able to enjoy the theme park until around noon and then have plenty of time to splash around Blizzard Beach and return to the ship in time for departure.
Have a magical adventure, Sally! And please stop by again real soon if you have more questions!
Toodles, Korliss!
