Hi Maureen,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Maureen, I’d advise against being on the same account attempting to make a reservation at the same time. If you have one reservation in
My Disney Experience and try to book another for that same time, the system will have you choose one of the reservations to move forward with. Both wouldn’t be able to exist in the same account.
Instead, I suggest that when you’re looking for
dining reservations for the entire party of 12, simply choose 12 as the party size! This will allow you to see the restaurants that are available to accommodate your party at specific times.
Now, if you wanted to you could book a reservation for 6 people and someone else in your family could use their account to book for the other 6 people, but there’s no way to guarantee that you’d get the exact same reservation time.
Also keep in mind that flexibility is helpful. I know that may be a bit challenging with a party of 12, but continue checking the
My Disney Experience mobile app to see what you can find. For example, maybe you want an early lunch reservation, but you end up finding one for 3:00 p.m. You can also think about the
mobile walk-up reservation option, but remember that you would need to be in close proximity to the restaurant’s location to book and your family would need to be close by if they call your party for seating!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your great, big, beautiful family vacation in just a few months. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
