Hiya! Are we allowed to chill at another resort that isn't ours.Ex: The carribean beach resort hammocks for a mid day break etc. Also! Are we allowed to watch the fireworks from the polynesian beach or contemporary tower if we are not staying guests?

Hey there, Carmen, and welcome to planDisney. Thanks for popping by with your question!

Walt Disney World is such a magical place, but if there's one thing I wish more people knew, it's that the magic doesn't end at the theme park gates. Each Disney Resorts Collection hotel is its own unique experience, complete with immersive theming and incredible attention to detail. Many of them are so beautiful and atmospheric, I consider them an attraction of their own! Disney resorts are some of the brightest hidden gems on Walt Disney World property, so I'm very excited to hear that you'll be exploring some of them during your stay!

First of all, I'm happy to share that you're welcome to explore any Disney World resort you'd like! Pool-hopping is generally prohibited, but you can still enjoy a stroll around the resort, relax in the lobby, or treat yourself to a delicious meal, snack, or drink. Yes, this includes hammock naps at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and fireworks from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! Over at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the 15th-floor observation deck is reserved for guests of California Grill. But if you're just stopping by, you can still catch them from the 4th-floor observation deck. It's free and open to the general public (they even pipe in the music!). Just be aware that if you're driving your own car, you'll need a confirmed dining reservation at a resort restaurant to park in the resort lot.

Carmen, my family loves resort-hopping in Disney World. It's a great way to spend a rest day or just to take a break from the parks. When I need some downtime on a busy park day, I love to take the boat from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a quiet lunch at Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Or, if I'm at EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios, a midday break at Disney's Boardwalk is always a peaceful reprieve! A quick snack (and some much-needed AC) at AbracadaBar is always just what the doctor ordered!

I hope this helps, Carmen, and that your upcoming stay is full of magical memories! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
