Hi,will be our 1st time to WDW. We arrive at our hotel at around 5:30. would like to go to Dowtown Disney and want to make reserv. to eat there, but also want to shop. Will we have enough time to walk and shop after dinner? What are some must-see shops?

    Hi Victor,

You should have plenty of time to explore Downtown Disney after dinner if you head there soon after arriving. Most of the shops are open until 11pm, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturday evenings.  If your dining reservation (I suggest you make a reservation at whichever restaurant you are most interested in to ensure you can secure a table) is at 6:30 or 7 and you are done by 8:30, you'll have lots of time to shop.

Some of our favorite restaurants at Downtown are Fulton's Crab House (for seafood), The Rainforest Cafe and the new TRex Restaurant (when we have kids in tow) and Bongos (for great Cuban food, music and mojitos). The dining room at Wolfgang Puck is amazing for a romantic, upscale dinner.   As for shopping, my boys love the Lego Imagination Store (it's one of the biggest in the country).  We also enjoy the World of Disney which is the largest Disney character merchandise shop on property.  Mickey's Mart is great for bargain hunters, as everything in this store is under $10!  If you have chocolate lovers in your party, a visit to Ghiardelli's is a must!

I hope you have a great time "Downtown"!
