Hi! when I placed a reservation for dinning they offer me if I want to celebrate someting special. If I say yes, do have to pay an extra and what do they do to celebrate? thank you! Sophie

Hi, Sophie!   Disney wants to make your vacation extra special if you are celebrating a special occasion:   birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, honeymoons, and more!

How the occasion is recognized by any dining location can be the server extending his/her "Best Wishes" to you, sometimes some confetti sprinkled on the table, sometimes a special cupcake.   It all varies with no real pattern to how or when a celebration is going to be celebrated!

There is no cost to announce you are celebrating.   That said, there is also no guarantee that your occasion will even be acknowledged.   If you are celebrating, let the cast members know, pick-up your free "Celebration" button at guest services, and go on with your vacation!   If something "magical" happens, enjoy the extra attention and have fun!

You can also create your own "celebration magic" by ordering a cake or by bringing a birthday card for the Disney pals to sign.   Wishing you a wonderful WDW vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
