Hi, When do the Christmas decorations taken down? We are thinking of coming early January

Hello Deirdre and welcome to planDisney.  It's makes me so very happy to see you here!

Planning a pixie-dusted vacation to Walt Disney World Resort in early January right after the Holiday season and New Year celebrations are past is such a great idea.  I love that you'll have something magical to look forward to and plan for so early in 2022.

I adore the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort!  I really do look forward to when all the seasonal decor begins to appEAR in early November right after the Headless Horseman has galloped back to Sleepy Hollow, and the Mickey-shaped pumpkins have been rolled back to the pumpkin patch for another yEAR.

In contrast, it's also quite refreshing to see a bright new yEAR begin when all the garlands, trees, candy canes, and twinkling lights are stowed away as we welcome in the month of January.  Typically as in past yEARS, Guests can expect the last of the Christmas decorations to finally disappEAR come mid-January.

With so many Things to do in Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, you are sure to be spoilt for choice!  And as if you didn't need another reason to visit so early in the yEAR, I'm happy to share that Guests can usually look forward to attending A Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts - although dates for 2022 have yet to be officially announced on the Disney Parks Blog.

Deirdre, if you should have any further questions about your January 2022 plans to visit the most magical place on earth, then please do pop back to planDisney to ask me another question.  I'm always happy to help in any way that I can!

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
