Hi there April, wishing you a very warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
I'm glad that you popped by to ask this question; we recently had several of our family and friends from Canada come down to stay at
a number of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, including
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! There's nothing like dodging the Canadian cold on a little Disney escape - especially when it comes with the chance to swim and experience what I consider to be
the best poolside food that I have ever eaten!
I spent some time venturing around to speak with the Recreation Cast Members at each resort who were happy to let me know that the pools are treated with chlorine, and that neither utilize a saltwater treatment process at the present time. I absolutely loved taking a dip in the immersive surroundings of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge pools during my most recent stay, and didn't find either to be salty myself! Be aware that procedures can be just like water in that they are always changing, and always flowing (in the wise words of Pocahontas), so I would definitely recommend checking again during your stay.
Speaking of changes, you might be in for some really exciting new additions in store when you come down for your springtime sojourn: not only will April see
the transformation of some fantastic nighttime spectaculars, but you'll likely have the opportunity to experience the brand-new
TRON Lightcycle/Run attraction speeding into its exciting Magic Kingdom Park debut at the start of the month!
Please feel free to come back to planDisney to ask me anything to help you with your upcoming journey; as I always say, whether you're about to launch into a high-speed race or a plunge into a pool surrounded by wildlife - it's always good to know what lies in front of you!
Here's hoping you make a splash on your next April Adventure, and be sure to devour a Zebra Dome for me!
