Hi what is the best way for a disabled single parent with a teen with autism to visit the park?is there a certain way to book the hotel (even though we're in California, I was hoping to do a 3day/2ish night visit)....thanks!

    Hi, Suzanne!

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I’m so happy to hear you want to plan a Disneyland Resort vacation!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) Card system is designed to accommodate Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including non-apparent disabilities). DAS cards are issued at Guest Relations and offer a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. As soon as the Guest and their group finishes one attraction, they can receive a return time for another. Additionally, a Guest whose disability is based solely on the need for a wheelchair or Electronic Convenience Vehicle does not need a DAS Card. Depending on the attraction, their party would either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time at the attraction based on the current wait time.

If you’re interested in a vacation package that includes park tickets and hotel accommodations, you may be able to take advantage of certain savings and valuable perks. Contact the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5045 for details. You can book a resort hotel and purchase theme park tickets by visiting the Disneyland Resort website, as well.

I hope this information helps, Suzanne. Please feel free to ask me any other planning questions you may have as your vacation approaches!

    Wishing you magic,
