Hi, We're staying at the Animal Kindgdom, Kidani Village in mid-February. What do you recommend for dining between Boma and Sanaa? How do they differ / are the same? We're a party of 3 adults and 3 kids (ages 5, 7, and 10). Thanks!

    Hi Carmen,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I love a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. The resort is richly and beautifully decorated, and being able to see exotic animals outside of nearly every window is amazing.

You are choosing between two fabulous restaurants. Boma - Flavors of Africa is a buffet that features delicious fare, including many options with more exotic tastes from Africa. At Sanaa, you will find a table service restaurant that also has flavors of Africa, but with an emphasis on Indian flavors.

While I truly enjoy both of these restaurants, for your situation, I suggest Boma - Flavors of Africa. Because it is a buffet, you will be able to sample the more exotic foods, but there are also offerings that are more traditional American fare if you have any non-adventurous eaters in your group. This will also allow everyone, including the children, to try a taste of some new food without committing to a whole order of it.

You should also know that while Sanaa is located in Kidani Village, Boma - Flavors of Africa is located in Jambo House. These are very close to each other and it is simple to take a bus from one to the other; you should just know that you will need a little more travel time from your villa to Boma - Flavors of Africa. I would allow yourself about 20 to 30 minutes from your villa to the Boma - Flavors of Africa if you are using the bus.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Carmen! Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
