Hi!We're sailing to Alaska in May,2014.We're Floridians,so will the weather be about what is here in winter, around 60?Getting very excited for our 4th Disney cruise!!Thank you.

    Ahoy there, Petrice!

So excited to hear that you are sailing the breathtaking Alaskan voyage on the Disney Cruise. This is an awesome itinerary, and you and your family will surely be drawn to the wondrous beauty that you'll come face to face with. I still remember being mesmerized by the sheer splendor of the mountains, glaciers and fjords... jaw-dropping!

The weather will be nice and crisp, averaging in the low-mid 50's during the day. In the evenings, and early mornings, you might want to bring something extra to bundle up with, when you're out on deck. You'll still get a cool breeze, and it does dip down in the 40's when it gets late. I suggest having handy warm accessories too - when you're admiring Tracy Arm and cruising along that straight, you will want to be nice and toasty on the top deck. You'll have lots of photo opportunities, so make sure you bring your camera! When you do catch an Alaskan sunset, it will also be nice and cool.

Here's additional planning tips about the Alaskan voyage, from my fellow cruise mom, Nancy. I hope that this helps. Do let me know if you need any other help with planning for your upcoming cruise. We are always glad to help.

    Bon voyage,
