Hi! We're planning our visit for the week after Thanksgiving with our 3 kids (10, 8, 1.5). The toddler now drinks thru straws & out of sippies w/o too much mess. We planned to leave the cups at home and carry ex straws, esp in AK. Will this be allowed

    Rachel:

The week after Thanksgiving is an excellent time to visit, as you'll find low crowds in the park.

You won't be able to use straws in the Animal Kingdom, as they have strict rules for items that may do harm to the animals if accidently ingested. (Another culprit is the balloon--you won't find them at Animal Kingdom.)

If I were in your shoes, I'd pack a sippy for your day at Animal Kingdom. Otherwise, straws will be fine in the other parks.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
