Hi, We're going to Disney World Nov. 7-11. We have 2 DS, age 8 and 10. My 10 year old has ADHD. A friend told me that kids with ADHD no longer have to wait in the long lines, but I can't verify this on the Disney website. Can you help? Thanks!

    Hi Susan,

Disney World is an awesome place to travel with kids with all types of special needs. Visit Guest Relations when you enter the first theme park during your visit & request a Guest Assistance Card (GAC) for your son.  Explain your son's needs to them so that they can tailor the GAC to best assist your son's needs.  The GAC will alert Cast Members at each attraction he requires special assistance.  The Cast Members at Guest Relations can date his GAC so that it will be valid during your entire visit.

You know your son better than anyone and know things that might upset him and things that calm him down.  If he has any comfort items, be sure to bring some with you.  If you see that he needs a break, give it to him. Remember to relax and just have fun.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
