Hi We're coming to WDW next April (13 nights, Carribean Beach) and already getting very excited! What's the quickest way of getting to the parks? Every blog says to get to the parks before opening, how early will we have to be up & out? Thanks

    Hi Nicola,

I am excited for you!  You are going to love staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort hotel.  Vacationing for 2 weeks at the Walt Disney World Resort is still on my bucket list.  Since you will have 13 nights to enjoy your visit be sure to plan a few days to relax at your Resort hotel and enjoy the pool and other amenities.

On the days in which you visit the theme parks I completely agree that you will get the most out of your visit by arriving at each theme park prior to its opening.  You should check the operating hours just prior to your vacation to make sure that there haven't been any changes such as the addition of Extra Magic Hours.  Usually the theme parks begin admitting Guests approximately 15 minutes prior to the official posted opening.  Guests are allowed partially into the park(s) where there is a fun little welcome show known unofficially as "rope drop".  Therefore I always like to be at the gates at least 15-30 minutes prior to opening.  This way my family has time to go through bag check and settle in before we are admitted to the park.  Your travel time from your room may vary each day depending upon many factors.  To be safe you should arrive with plenty of time if you leave your room at least 1 hour prior to the theme park opening each day.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question Nicola!  Please visit us again as you continue to plan your upcoming Magical Walt Disney World vacation.  We are always here to help!

    Blessings,
