Hi! We’re attending our first Very Merry Christmas Party this year. Would you still recommend purchasing Genie Plus to manage wait times for rides or would we potentially not find it necessary with the special ticketed event? Thank you so much! Lindsay

Hiya Lindsay and welcome back to planDisney!

I was in your shoes just last year experiencing the Christmas Season at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I had the best time ever with some wonderful people and I can't wait to go back this year to enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas PartyMickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will bring your inner child right up to the forefront. Eating Mickey ice cream sandwiches and waiting on the parade to start is officially a core memory for me and I've never been so excited to see Santa Claus in my life!

Wanting to maximize your time at the party is smart thinking Lindsay. Of course, using Disney Genie+ Service would come to mind first. However, at this time, there's no indication that the service will be available for use during this specially ticketed event. But not to worry, during my experience last year, I barely waited in line for one single attraction. Hopefully, that same pixie dust will extend to you!

Lindsay, I'm wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas even though it's July. If you have any other questions on how to make the season bright, just come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
