Hi, We'll be at WDW next month for the holidays. This is the first trip for my grandson. He loves the movie Meet the Robinsons (so do I). Is there anywhere where we can see any of the characters from that movie in any of the parks? Thank you.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jim!

It makes my heart very happy to hear that you are about to go on a Grand Adventure with your grandson next month at the Walt Disney World Resort. My children are counting down the days to a visit with their grandparents, and they cannot wait to be sharing Mickey-shaped ice cream bars and walking hand-in-hand throughout The Most Magical Place on Earth with their grandma and grandpa. You’re going to make so many wonderful memories together!

I also love that you and your grandson share a love for Meet the Robinsons. It’s such an underrated Disney classic! I’m very sorry to tell you that, at this time, Lewis, Wilbur, and friends (I am partial to the dinosaur) are busy working on their inventions, and are not meeting Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort. While we’ve seen Lewis and Bowler Hat Guy at special events, they are considered rare characters. Still, I bet you and your grandson would enjoy a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, where you’ll get a great tour of Tomorrowland and a chance to discuss the things that remind you of the movie. While I don’t think it’s likely that these characters will return for the holiday season, a great source for the very latest news is the Disney Parks Blog, and they would be the ones to announce a new character experience.

Jim, did you know that you can find character experiences using your My Disney Experience mobile app? From the map screen, tap the drop-down area at the top and select “Characters.” Each Mickey head you see indicates a character experience – just tap Mickey to see who is meeting in that location, get their appearance times, and even directions. It’s so handy!

Have so much fun with your grandson on your visit in just a few weeks. If you have any more questions as you count down the days, please come back and see us!

    Keep moving forward!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
