Hi, We’ll be visiting Disney World this year bringing my grandson with us. He has an autism diagnosis (Asperger’s) and we’ve been recommended to go for DAS as well as Genie+. How do we do the advance DAS registration from the UK? Thanks.

Hello Dylan, and welcome back to planDisney!

I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this summer. Your magical holiday is just a few months away. When you arrive, you will be able to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Most Magical Place on Earth.

The Walt Disney World Resort has made accommodations for Guests with cognitive disabilities to make their visit more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pre-registration for Disability Access Services or DAS via video chat is not yet available in the UK. When you arrive in the United States, you can pre-register for DAS online, 2 days before your first park visit.

You can also register for DAS in person at any Guest Relations. Once a Cast Member has provided your DAS services, they are good for up to 60 days. If you have any questions regarding the assistance offered for Guests with disabilities, please reach out to them via email at Disability.services@disneyparks.com.

If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again at planDisney.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea

Hi there, I am Andrea from the Buckeye State. A very proud mom to my princess who is a former Miss Ohio. Friends and family describe me as a "Disney Nerd" and Star Wars fangirl. I have made 30 trips and counting to the Walt Disney World Resort in all stages of life since 1972 as a small child, a young mom with a toddler and now as an empty nester. The love of vacation planning runs strong in my family. My uncle had it, I have it and with my help, you will have it too. Learn More About Andrea
