Hi Kathy! Thanks for stopping back to planDisney with this great question!
Of all the Disney Resort hotels you can choose from,
Disney's Polynesian Villiage Resort is at the top of the list for me. It encapsulates old-school Disney with incredible theming, picturesque views, and immersive storytelling. The layout of the resort allows you to venture around and truly get the feeling of being on an island getaway.
This resort has several Guest buildings spread out around the Main Ceremonial House. Some buildings offer
Water View rooms, which means your room may overlook the pool, marina, or Seven Seas Lagoon. It comes down to what type of vibe you prefer for your stay. If you want a more lively environment, a resort room overlooking the main pool area might be for you. The best building for this would be the Samoa building which offers views of the Lava Pool. If you like a more relaxed atmosphere, the Tuvalu building might be your speed. Many of the rooms overlook Seven Seas Lagoon and parts of the marina.
Keep in mind that while you can ask for a specific building, these requests are not guaranteed. To do so, call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line to speak with a Cast Member. They will make a note of this on your resort reservation. When it comes time to assign your room, the Cast Member doing so will take your request into account and accommodate the best they can.
During your stay, you need to have breakfast at
Kona Cafe in the Main Ceremonial House. My family makes a point of dining here on every trip, whether we are staying at this resort or not. While this location is known for the Tonga Toast, the Macadamia Nut Pancakes are my favorite. The pancakes are topped with fresh pineapple and macadamia nut butter that is out of this world.
Kathy, I hope you have a magical time during your stay!
