Nicola Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi We are visiting for the first time at the end of July. Do we need to book a fast pass for the evening parades? or just turn up when we want? Thanks! Nicky

    Hello Nicola!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be thrilled about your upcoming first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

FastPass+ is a great service that allows Guests to reserve a spot for their favorite attractions. You can make 3 initial selections for a single park for each day of your visit, and after your redeem these selections you are allowed to make another one at any theme park by using the My Disney Experience mobile app or in-park FastPass+ kiosks. Selections can be made up to 30 days prior to your visit or 60 days in advance if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel.

Evening parades are currently not offered, except for special evening parades that take place during special events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You need to purchase a separate ticket to attend these parties, since they are not included with regular park admission tickets. FastPass+ is not available during these special events.

FastPass+ is also no longer available for parades and fireworks shows at Magic Kingdom Park, but you are more than welcome to watch Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. This beautiful parade takes place daily at 3:00 p.m. and celebrates the spirit of Disney with music and dance during a stunning celebration of the tales in Fantasyland.

Tip: download the My Disney Experience mobile app to have the magic at your fingertips and easily plan and manage every aspect of your vacation.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sending lots of pixie dust for an amazing first visit.

    Best magical wishes,
