Hi, We will be visiting from Australia in Jan - a surprise trip for our Mum. She has always dreamed of visiting WDW so we wish to make the trip as special as possible. We have booked in 'La Nouba' & Illuminations cruise. Any more ideas?

Hello Ben and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You might just win the Son of the Year award by surprising your Mum with this amazing trip! You have already booked two fantastic events with La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil and an IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth Specialty Cruise.

You didn't mention if you have planned out your touring itinerary yet, so my recommendation would be to make sure that you create a well outlined set of plans. My family relies on our subscription to to help us set up our itineraries for every trip. not only helps to set up an itinerary that meets your needs, it can also help you to avoid long lines- something I am sure your Mum will appreciate. Along with that you will want to try and procure dining reservations at any table service restaurant that you want to build into your plans. Some restaurant choices that, in my opinion, are extra special include Victoria & Albert's, California Grill, Morimoto Asia, and Jiko- The Cooking Place.

Finally, I would recommend considering one of Disney's dinner shows. Our favorite is Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Along with delicious BBQ ribs and fried chicken you will enjoy two hours of singing, dancing, and vaudeville style comedy.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions, come on back to the Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!
