Hi! We will be using a friend's DVC points to stay at the Grand Californian. We are planning on going to DCA on this day. My questions are: How early can we check in? Can we self-park prior to check in? Could you please explain this process? Mahalo!

    Greetings, Kierstyn!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing your questions here today. Your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner, you must be getting excited! A Springtime visit to Disneyland Resort will be very magical - let's take a peek at your questions!

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are located a skip away from Disney California Adventure Park; it's the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a stunning resort with a prime location. It is home to several dining experiences including the fabulous Napa Rose, the enchanting Storytellers Cafe and the cozy GCH Craftsman Grill. Kierstyn, check-in is officially at 3:00 PM but the Cast Member I spoke to said you can check-in earlier in the day but your room will not likely be ready until after. As a Disney Collection Resort Guest, you can enjoy the resort and its amenities all day on both check-in and check-out. Prior to check-in, you can self-park your car in the parking lot; just be sure to provide your parking information to the Cast Member upon check-in.

I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning and that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
