Hi We took a disney vacation this past August. It was a great time however it rained almost every day in the afternoon then cleared in the evening . So we really got no pool time. How is the weather usually, rain wise in Mid-July ??

Hi, Terri!   Unfortunately, rain in the afternoons in WDW is just as on-schedule as the daily "3 o'clock parade" in the Magic Kingdom!   It just rains almost every day!   With the high heat and humidity, rain is pretty much unavoidable in the summer.

I can tell you the average rainfall according to the Unofficial Guide to WDW.  Average rain (in inches) in June 7.4, July 7.8, and August 6.3.    The good part is that it is usually a pretty quick downpour then it stops.   If you had non-stop rain for hours each day, you must have just hit a patch of bad weather.

I hope you have better weather on your next WDW adventure!  Good luck to you!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
