Hi! We are thinking of returning to Walt Disney April 2014. is it a good time to visit? Thanks

    Hi Diane,

April is a wonderful (and popular) time to visit Walt Disney World. I have friends who travel there every April Vacation for Spring Break. The weather is typically beautiful and you would also be there during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. I absolutely love this Special Event!

One thing you will want to keep in mind is that the weeks immediately before and after Easter are typically very busy due to various states having their Spring/ Easter Break. For example, this year, Easter falls on March 31st so I would avoid the first week of April. In addition here in Massachusetts, our students have the 3rd week of April off from school and many of them head towards the Florida sunshine. If I were choosing a week in April this year, it would be the 2nd or 4th weeks.

However, in 2014, Easter falls on April 20th. When you combine the popularity of traveling during that time for states with the 3rd week of April off and factor in that Easter falls during that same week next year...I would avoid the 3rd and 4th weeks of April if at all possible in 2014! The crowds are likely to be at their peak levels. When you take all of these factors into consideration, if you want to travel in April 2014, I recommend that you choose the first week to do so.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

    Happy planning!
