Hi! We are staying off property for the first time ever at Bonnet Creek Wyndham. What would be our easiest way to get to MK for MVMCP? If we eat at WL can we just take a boat to MK and leave our car there?

    Hi Rebecca!

Welcome back to planDisney!  It sounds like you're planning a Jolly Holiday at Walt Disney World Resort with your visit to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  The holiday season is one of the best times of year to visit with so many festive seasonal offerings throughout the parks and resort hotels!

Rebecca, your ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will allow you to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 PM, even though the party doesn't start until 7:00 PM.  I like to take advantage of these extra hours to get a jump start on enjoying some of my must-do attractions so I can spend more time at the party exploring everything unique to that event, including entertainment and food options.

Since it sounds like you'll have a car with you, you have a few options for transportation.  The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek offers shuttle service to the parks, but most off-site hotels do not offer shuttles during special-ticketed events.  I recommend confirming the shuttle schedule with your hotel before your arrival, but you may be able to catch a ride on the shuttle over to the park for a 4:00 PM entry and then use a rideshare service to return to your hotel in the evening.  If you'd prefer to drive, you'll find both standard and preferred parking options available at Magic Kingdom Park.  Unfortunately, parking at hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection is reserved for those registered hotel Guests and Guests with dining/activity reservations.  If you choose to dine at Disney's Wilderness Lodge before the party, you can enjoy complimentary parking during your meal, but will not be able to leave your car when heading to the party.

Rebecca, I hope this information is helpful as you continue to plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season.  To make Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party even sweeter, be sure to keep an eye out around Magic Kingdom Park for holiday cookies and beverages included with your admission!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
