hi,we r staying at akl and was wondering if the animals are always out we do not want to come and never see any animals we live in michigan and go to detroit zoo only to be dissapointned...am hopeing for lots of happy memorys w our kids

Hi Angela! I have stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge several times and have never been disappointed in not seeing any animals. In fact one of the most interesting moments was at night listening to them eat but not seeing them or hearing them "talk" in the dark.  You really feel like you are out on the African savannahs.

There will be several different species from giraffes to storks.  They are not controlled as to where they need to graze so you might have to look hard or wait to see them up close. There are always naturalists on duty down by the big rock who would love to discuss their country and the animals that are native to it.  When you check in see what special activities might be going on from the kids feeding the storks to a special talk around a campfire.  The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a great following of repeat guests!
