Hi Sharon, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Having a
Dining Plan during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is AWESOME! While you can use a Quick Service Meal credit to obtain three Snack Credits, the option to use two Quick Service Meal credits to obtain a Table Service credit for a buffet or character meal is not currently available.
The exchange of Quick Service credits for Snack credits can be made at Disney owned-and-operated restaurants on single transactions, so that is the
perfect opportunity to maximize the value of your Dining Plan. At the
Sleepy Hollow, at Magic Kingdom Park, you can get three snacks like the
Breakfast Egg and Cheese Waffle, the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich and a Funnel Cake topped with Strawberries and make a GREAT breakfast for 4 or 5 adults using a single Quick Service credit. How cool is that?
My husband and I always study
a few menus before arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort to plan our meals and get the best value for our money, so it might be a fun activity for your family, too!
When planning for a character meal, though, I would personally suggest discovering the
Tusker House Restaurant, as it is a great place to take a break at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and meet Mickey Mouse and his friends. It is a perfect spot for a brunch after an early morning stroll through the wonders of
Pandora - The World of Avatar. How does that sound?
As you move on with your planning for this
incredible trip, Sharon, please, keep coming back with more of your great questions. We love to share advice with such old friends like you!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
