It's great to see you here today at planDisney, Lauren! I'm so glad to hear that you've got a trip to Walt Disney World Resort planned for my favorite time of year:
the holiday season. The Theme Parks and
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are going to be beautifully decorated and there's just such a special feeling in the air during the festive time of year.
Lauren, a special event ticket is not required to ring in the new year at Walt Disney World Resort, your regular Theme Park admission is all you need. If you have tickets linked to your
My Disney Experience account, I recommend that you make
reservations for the Theme Park of your choice as soon as possible. New Year's Eve is a very popular day to be at The Most Magical Place On Earth, and the last few days of the year tend to book up very quickly. I just checked the
availability calendar and all four Theme Parks still have spots open, so go ahead and pick the one you want as soon as you can!
While we don't quite know what the plans are for December 31 this year, I can tell you that last year Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios all stayed open until or after midnight. Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are going to be the most popular places to be, so I recommend snagging those Disney Park Pass reservations right now if you want to visit either of those Theme Parks. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, which will be the first place you'll hear about any exciting snacks, entertainment, and celebrations for New Year's Eve!
Have a magical day, Lauren!
