Hi, We are planning to visit Disney 1/25/09 - 1/31/09. We've purchased the 5 day park hopper pass with the Basic dining package. I'm confused about the dining package & how/where to make dining reservations. Any suggestions?

The dining plan is very easy to use once you get the hang of it.  With the basic plan you get a snack, a counter service meal, and table service meal per person per night of your stay.

You only need to make reservations for the table service meals.  You can do that by calling (407)WDW-DINE.  All of the signature restaurants charge you 2 table service meal credits.  You will be informed of this when you make your reservations.

The counter service locations are all first come first serve.  Each persons orders and brings their food to a common seating area.  With the dinning plan you get a beverage, a main course, and a dessert.

You can use your snacks credits at almost all of the counter service locations and the many snack kiosks throughout WDW parks and resorts.

The castmembers working at WDW are very familiar with the dining plan and are more than happy to answer any questions for you or remind you what is included.

I think you will find the plan to be very flexible.  I would highly recommend making the table reservations as soon as possible because they do go quickly.  Once you are in WDW you can add or change any dining reservations at your resort, at the podium of any restaurant, or by phone.

    Have a great trip
