Hi We are planning a trip to WDW this August. Do we need park tickets for the day we plan on going to a character dinning at a Disney Resort hotel?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love to enjoy Character Dining experiences during my family trips to Walt Disney World Resort because its such a perfect way to have a relaxing and tasty meal while meeting some of my favorite Disney characters! Guests are welcome to enjoy restaurants in Walt Disney World Resort hotels, including character dining experiences, without using theme park tickets. You will only need theme park tickets for dining experiences when you are dining at a restaurant that is located inside a theme park. I like to plan on enjoying my favorite Character Dining experiences inside Walt Disney World Resort hotels, such as 'Ohana and Chef Mickey's, during the "rest days" of our vacation where we take a break from the theme parks and spend time enjoying the recreation activities at Walt Disney World Resort!

Please let us know if you have any other questions. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
