Hi We are planning to travel to Orlando in August 2010, it will be my grandsons 3rd Birthday on 18th August whats the best way to celebrate his birthday? Where is a good place to have a birthday meal for him?

    Hi Linda!

There is no better place to celebrate a birthday then at Walt Disney World.  I would start the birthday celebrations at Chef Mickey's. It is located at the Contemporary Resort.  The characters waiting to celebrate with you include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto.  In place of an autograph book you may want to bring a birthday card for the characters to sign.  It makes for a very special souvenir. Reservation can be made by calling the dine line at (407) WDW-DINE or you can click here to make the online.

When you get to the parks be sure to stop by guest services to pick up a free Happy Birthday button.  Your grandson will be stopped by countless cast members to wish him a Happy Birthday!

You can bring some decorations to decorate your room while he sleeps or you can have the dream makers at the Disney florist do it for you.  Visit their website at for birthday packages and prices.

Celebration birthday cakes are also available when you book dining reservations.

    Have a magical celebration!
