    Hi.we are planning to go to Disney in September 2013. We want to buy the dining plan now but a travel agency told me that there is always the free dining plan promotion around that time of the year. Do you think I should wait for the promotion? Thanks

    Hi Melissa and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Your travel agent is absolutely right, historically speaking (although this never guarantees they will), Disney has offered free dining plan promotions in September for the past several years--so I'd wait it out and see if a promotion pops up.  IF NOT, the Disney Dining Plan can be added to an existing reservation as long as your package includes park admission.  It must be part of a package deal (and your agent will know all about the requirements to add the plan).  If you decide that you're going to add the plan, it must be added prior to your arrival, so you'll have plenty of time to make that decision. 

    The Disney Dining Plan can offer a great value, but getting it FREE is even better!
