Hi, We are planning on attending the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year. Can you tell me where I would go to meet Moana and the Genie? Also, where is the best place to view the parade and fireworks? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kerry! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a fabulously frightening time that the whole family will love. I took my two small kids last year and they adored their costumes, trick or treating and the magic of the night! Not to mention that the Happy Hallowishes and Boo to YOU! Parade are my FAVORITE nighttime spectaculars all year!

Moana met guests this year in Adventureland, in and around the Jungle Cruise attraction. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping to TeFiti that she will be back again this year. Keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for news of her return. As for your other request, consider it granted! Genie and Aladdin meet in Agrabah in Adventureland, in the area next to Aloha Isle (get your Dole Whip while you wait in line!) and behind the Magic Carpet Ride. Often during this party, he will swap out with Jasmine and Abu, so as I snaked through the switchbacks in 2016, I allowed a guest to go ahead of me that desperately wanted Jasmine while we were gunning for Genie. It worked out perfectly. And mind your Ps and Qs, because Jafar meets in an adjacent area… he may just steal your lamp! If you keep it handy, you can wish to be transported to Main Street U.S.A., which is my favorite place to watch the Boo to YOU! Parade, since it runs “backwards” from Frontierland and to the front of the park. You can stick around the Cinderella Hub in order to get a great vantage point of the Hallowishes Fireworks. If you can sit in the green parks area, you’ll have the best experience!

If you need some more frightful tips for your spooky night, please ask me another question. This party is my absolute favorite. In fact, I wrote up some Halloween party tips for Babble.com that will make your party even more successful! I hope a ghost follows you home… ~ Lindsey P.
