Hi, We plan to visit Animal Kingdom in mid December, if we want to see Pandora - The World of Avatar all lit up, can we go with a base ticket during the day? Or, do we need to purchase an After Hours ticket? Thanks, Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom truly is a spectacular sight to behold, both in daylight and once night falls. I’ll admit, however, that Pandora’s wonders are extra magical after sunset. You really do feel as though you’re walking through a bioluminescent rainforest on another world.

I’m happy to say that a regular Theme Park Ticket is all you need in order to enjoy Pandora at night. The lights typically start around sunset, so be sure to compare the day’s Theme Park Hours to the time that the sun is scheduled to set that day. In addition, if it’s a night when Disney After Hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is scheduled, your touring time might get cut a little bit short.

Pandora isn’t the only breathtaking spot if you’re planning to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom at night. Rivers of Light: We Are One is a great water/projection show and the Tree of Life Awakenings are truly spectacular way to end a Wild Disney Day!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
