Welcome to planDisney, Paul. That's quite the party headed for Walt Disney World - how fun!
Disney's Pop Century Resort is a top-notch pick! The larger-than-life theming, pull-down Table Beds, Hippy Dippy Pool, hard floors throughout (is it just me that seeks this out?), and access to the
Disney Skyliner make this a great choice.
To make a room request for you all, I first suggest ensuring your party is linked and your reservation added to
My Disney Experience. Then during the online check-in process in My Disney Experience, there is a section about room requests with two separate drop-down boxes. You could choose a room type within the 60s section of the resort. You can also prioritise having your room ready over the room requests. While requests aren't guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to meet Guest needs.
Paul, if I have an important request, I like to
call and make sure I request directly with the Walt Disney World experts, as requests are dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis. You can ask a Cast Member to make a note of your request, so you'll know the request will be seen and remembered.
The 60s area has nearby access to the
Hippy Dippy Pool, where you can enjoy Movies Under the Stars on select nights. I hope you all relish in a practically perfect in every way adventure to Walt Disney World, Paul. Please do pop back if you have any further questions, Louise.
