Hi! We have our own mobility scooter, and we have a bike lock on it (that we only use in Disney Springs). Is it okay for the lock to be coiled around the steering column in the Disney World parks? Boyd

Hey there, Boyd, and welcome to planDisney!

Electric Conveyance Vehicles make all the difference in getting around the Walt Disney World Resort. My family has a host of knees and ankles that have seen better days, so those scooters are a real lifesaver. Let's roll through what to do during your trip.

You're free to store your lock however you want on your personal mobility scooter while gliding along through The Most Magical Place on Earth. Just be sure not to lock your device to any structures in the parks or Disney Springs. You'll also want to park your noble steed in designated ECV parking at all attractions and take your keys with you while you enjoy your fun.

Pro-tip: In a sea of mobility devices and strollers, it's easy for yours to get lost. Find a way to make your scooter easily identifiable, like a balloon or name tag. I'm forever grateful for the pink Mickey balloon that helped mine stick out in the crowd.

Boyd, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you find yourself with more questions, please come back and see me!

    Happy planning!
