Hi!We are looking into a Disney trip with our 18 month old & are debating a Savannah room at AKL or something closer to the parks. We would head to all 4 parks. We are also thinking of trying out the Main Street Barber for a 1st haircut. Thoughts?

    Hi Kelly,

Welcome! The Harmony Barber Shop is such a fun place to get that First Haircut, or the one-hundredth! I highly recommend it for your 18 month old. Be sure to bring your camera to capture those precious memories!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is closest to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. In fact, this park is quite easily accessible via the complimentary Walt Disney World® Bus Service. My family loves the Savanna View rooms since we really enjoy watching exotic animals right from our balcony. It's also possible to admire the fascinating wildlife from many of the resort's other viewing areas too.

The above being said, and although you are planning to visit all the Disney Parks, you'll probably be spending a great deal of time at Magic Kingdom Park. Therefore, I recommend booking a Disney Resort hotel closer to this park. For example, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort are on the Resort Monorail line. Disney's Contemporary Resort is within easy walking distance to Magic Kingdom Park too. Finally, Disney's Wilderness Lodge offers easy access via the Walt Disney World® Water Transportation also.

I hope this information will help you reach a decision, Kelly. Please visit us again soon with more Disney vacation planning questions.
