Hi, We are looking at booking Caribbean beach resort for February into March 2026. I know the main pool was closed for Jan - March 2024 and again in January 2025. Is Jan - March the routine maintenance time for the pool at CBR? Likely for 2026?

    Hi Natalie!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for swimming by with such a great question. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my personal favorites. It’s like a vacation within a vacation! I love the colorful island vibes, the lively Fuentes del Morro Pool with its pirate-themed fort and waterslides, and the awesome food options like the Centertown Market for quick bites, Sebastian’s Bistro for a delicious sit-down meal, and Banana Cabana for tropical drinks by the pool. Plus, having Disney Skyliner access makes getting to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze!

You’re right, the Fuentes del Morro Pool did undergo routine maintenance from January to March in both 2024 and again scheduled for early 2025. While it’s been closed during that timeframe two years in a row, I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who shared that there’s currently no scheduled closure for early 2026. Of course, it’s important to remember that refurbishment schedules are always subject to change as your trip gets closer. But no worries! Even if the main pool were to close unexpectedly, the resort has several leisure pools scattered around the islands, offering a quieter spot to relax and take a dip.

And if you're craving even bigger splash adventures, don’t forget that Walt Disney World Resort has two incredible water parks! Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is my personal favorite, with its laid-back tropical theme, giant wave pool, and attractions like Crush ‘n’ Gusher. But Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, with its whimsical "melting ski resort" setting and thrills like Summit Plummet, is just as much fun. Either option would be a great way to cool off if you want to add even more water fun to your vacation!

If you have any more questions as you plan your magical island getaway, feel free to send them my way. I’m always happy to help!

    Cheers!
