Hi, We are looking to book Saratoga springs for our Disney holiday. Is the walkway to Disney springs open 24hrs (I read it might only be open during daylight hours?). Asking as I like to go on an early morning run. If not will look at another hotel.

Hi there, Christy, and welcome to planDisney!

Choosing which Disney Resort hotel I will make my next magical home away from home is one of my favorite aspects of the vacation planning process. With so many uniquely-themed options, I love that each Guest can decide individually which Resort hotel they feel is the fairest of them all based on their tastes and preferences. Since you're not hoping to channel your inner 'Sleepy' during your magical vacation by logging early morning miles, I'm happy to share that there are several Disney Resort hotels directly accessible to walking and jogging trails.

As your Magic Mirror has already made you aware, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort features a walkway to a pedestrian bridge accessing Disney Springs Marketplace, but did you know that the resort also boasts over two miles of jogging trails? I just checked with a helpful Cast Member who shared that the bridge is only available during Disney Springs operating hours, but the jogging trails are accessible 24 hours a day. If you're looking for a bit of a longer route, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground features a wooded 3.1 mile trail, while the EPCOT Resort Area hotels allow Guests to access the walkway that connects EPCOT to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Christy, since you enjoy running and Walt Disney World Resort vacations, if you haven't already, I encourage you to look into runDisney where the two combine to make every mile magic. With distances ranging from 5Ks to full marathons and races weekends year-round, there truly is an offering for everyone. I'm not sure I'll ever change my computer background from the photo of Mickey Mouse giving me a high five as I completed the Walt Disney World Marathon. Talk about a pixie-dusted finish line!

I hope this was helpful, Christy, and that you have a wonderful vacation! If any additional questions arise as you plan, don't hesitate to stop back by. I'm happy to help!
