Hi We live by disneyland, california. 1st family w. 13 yr daughter n 8 yr boy. 2nd family w 10 yr old boy.Our plan on Walt Disney is 9 hrs on 7/16, entire 7/17-21, 9-6 p.m. on 27th, 5 day cruise from 7/22. Any suggestions on best parks, on ship to enjoy?.

I too am a Disneyland local and I am happy to give you some tips when you visit Walt Disney World. Let me start by letting you know just how big these parks are compared to those in Anaheim. They are huge. It makes it such a grand adventure to see how much more Disney magic is in store for your whole group this vacation. I would always begin at the Magic Kingdom. A walk down Main Street U.S.A. with the Cinderella Castle in front of you will immediately let you know that things are bigger in Florida! The lands are mostly the same so you will be familiar with the Lands. The attractions are different and I would totally recommend that you go on both Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion just to see the differences (Jungle Cruise too!). From there I would try to take a boat ferry to Disney Hollywood Studios. Again this park has some of the same attractions as we have, but it has so much more. You must take a spin on the Great Movie Ride, it's classic Disney and I just love it. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are simply magnificent and it appears that you will have time to visit both based on the number of days indicated. The World Pavilion at Epcot is worth spending at least a few hours walking through. I could spend all day! If you find that the parks are too crowded or you want to try something we do not have out here, I am a huge fan of the Disney water parks. They are what every water park in Los Angeles hopes to be. The theming is totally Disney and I would suggest that on a hot summer day, this will be the thing that keeps everyone happy. The kids can try all of the great water thrills, while the adults relax on the amazing lazy rivers. I spent two hours on the lazy river at Blizzard Beach and was relaxed and smiling the entire time. As you can tell, I could go on about how much fun you are all going to have on this magical trip. Feel free to ask me more questions to make this the best vacation ever. I will see you at the parks.
