    Hi, We are hoping to book a Disney Staycation cruise this Summer. We are a family of 4 who are Silver. We want to take my mum who is in a wheelchair with us for her first cruise. Can we book her room, with my 17 yr old daughter in to support her, on 29th?

    Ahoy Alison!

    Welcome back onboard planDisney! A staycation at sea sounds like the ideal vacation to me. The Disney Magic at Sea voyages will mark Captain Mickey’s return to sailing, and let me tell you, he is so ready! As a U.K. resident, you are part of an exclusive club as these voyages are ONLY for residents of the United Kingdom. So glad to hEAR you plan on sharing the adventure with your mom, too.

    Since you will need two staterooms and your mom is a different Castaway Club level than your family, the solution is to have your 17-year-old share a stateroom with your mom as you have already planned. The advance booking window is determined by the Guest with the highest Castaway Club level in each stateroom. You should be able to book both staterooms on the same day because your daughter has Silver Castaway Club status.

    The current advance booking timeline for the Disney Magic at Sea sailings is as follows and begins at 9:00 A.M. (UK time) on each day:

    -April 28th, 2021 for Platinum Members using the dedicated Platinum phone number 0800 328 2090;

    -Gold Members can call on April 28th as well on the Gold phone number 0800 389 9298;

    -April 29th for Silver Castaway Club members by Silver phone number 0800 171 2317; and

    -For all Guests on April 30th, they can book online or by phone 0800 171 2317.

    Alternatively, you can contact your travel agent to make your reservations for you. This schedule is always subject to change.

    Since you mentioned that your mom will need a wheelchair, she must provide her own device (either personal or rental). When not in use, all wheelchairs must be stored inside staterooms or in a designated parking area. I love that you’ve already enlisted the help of your daughter to assist your mom as Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests using wheelchairs sail with someone who can physically assist them when necessary. Finally, I’d suggest letting Disney Cruise Line know her needs in advance by contacting the Special Services Team, and they will ensure your vacation is practically perfect in every way.

    Alison, we’d love to help make your summer staycation on the Disney Magic a smashing success! So come back to planDisney anytime as you chart a course for an amazing adventure entirely at sea.

    Happy Sailing!
